Had a great time at Chuy's Parade just before our last show at Scottish Rite on Sunday. Thanks for coming out Bryce, Skylar, Tracy, Lucas, Forest, Katherine, Siska, Malena, Toby, Scott, Christina and all... (Dad built us a juke box float... it was tons of fun...)
Amber and Nick have adjusted the entire show to fit the younger, Scottish Rite crowd so there's something to do in every song or story.
First, all the kids get a pair of sound effects tubes when they come in so they can be part of the "Studio Audience". They make galloping sounds for Outlaw Jack & play the drums with Jungle Joe. Calamity Am has them dancing square dance moves while Johnny Angel and Dancing Queen Doreen lead the sock hop. Ivory Soap girl makes "Double the Bubbles" so there are lots of bubbles to pop. And Professor Handkerchief needs help with his time machine.
Other characters include Daisy Mae, The Lindette Sister, AmberVania (from Transylvania), London Jane and Brooklyn Joe.
During the show, Scottish Rite Theater sets up big carpets right in front of the stage where kids can sit close to all the action.
After the show, kids can try out the foley sound effects table, tune a real 1931 old time radio and snap a photo with their favorite character from the show.
Please come to our show and help us make sound effects, pop bubbles and shout and cheer when the applause sign
lights up so we can capture some of the magic from the Golden Age of Radio, right here at Radio WAN, Austin Texas.
We're going ON AIR ... 3, 2, 1... We're Live!
